My First Blog Award

How exciting it was to read in my inbox a comment left for me awarding my blog the Liebster Blog Award!  This lovely surprise came from Mrs Williams of Vibrant Vintage who also writes about her own little adventures over on the other side of the pond.  A big thank you to you Mrs W!

The rules of the Liebster Award are:
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 100/200/300 followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed - (I've read different info from all different places about the follower numbers)
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

I would like to show my love to you all with a big...

I think this is very sweet and a nice way to show appreciation to other bloggers and their blogs.  Of course it also spreads the word of us that are lesser known to the big wide world of blog readers.  Now, the tricky part... Who do I award this to?  I shall have a wee think and get back to you all after my sisters wedding this weekend!  Lots to do and organise still.  Including which bra and négligée best to wear under my bridesmaid dress.  Oh the dilemma... xxx

A Visit to the Shops!

I had a very exciting project last week which called for a visit to the shops!  Not just any old shop mind but one that I already loved which made it even more exciting.  I have a new sponsor in the lovely Collectif brand.  You may well know them already since you are reading my blog but you might just be stumbling across me as some do.  Collectif specialise in gorgeous rockabilly and psychobilly style clothing as well as reproduction of 40s and 50s inspired designs.  Perfect for us pin-up dolls!

Here I am arriving at their new Spitalfields Market shop

There was no point in window shopping when there was so much fab goodies to be looked at and obviously they had a sale on too.  Bonus!  After going round the rails several times I headed down to their dressing rooms with an arm full of clothes.

This is where I had thought ahead and roped in a friend to come shop with me.  Not only for their amazing company and opinions but also to take the snaps.  This was one occasion where self taken mirror portraits just wouldn't do.

Let the fashion parade begin...

Patricia Birdie Shirt - It makes the military look so much more girly.
Worn with their Soldier Heidi Braces Skirt which comes in various fabrics.

I love a pair of dungarees! All the better with leopard trimmings.
Their Frieda Leopard Dungarees worn with my own red gingham cropped peasant top from Mode Merr.
Fiorella Hibiscus Shirt - so cute and cropped too!

Cowboy Denim Jacket - worn here with my Freddies of Pinewood jeans

Hilda Leo Capris - I am getting myself some of these.
HotHotHot!

I loved that they had lots of accessories dotted around on cute furniture pieces as well as images and mannequins for inspiration on outfits.  I particularly liked this Leopard Tempest Bag perfect for that weekend away.  It's so cute and cuddly!

So what do you think of their goodies?  Definitely worth having a look and there are lots more coming for SS12.  I shall be keeping my eyes peeled to keep my wardrobe topped up to look my best in the summer heat.  They currently have three shops around London and they have their on-line store for those living outside of the capital which is super convenient.  You can also find them on Facebook here.  So if you like them, you should go 'like' them.  They just had a deal on Groupon which I found out from their FB page so that was grand.  I get to go and shop again with their special voucher.  It's always great to support an independent company doing the things they love best.  This was one fun project of many to come.  Who knew blogging could be so adventurous and rewarding!

That was me all shopped out.  Leaving with a little something in my bag of course!  Tara xx

Ps... if anyone would like to gift me a voucher ;)
How cute does Bernie look?
